Next, visit Moray, circular terraces believed to be an Inca agricultural laboratory for testing plants at different temperatures. Stop at the Maras Salt Mines to admire the white salt flats and the artisanal salt extraction process. Afterward, enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba and a visit to Ollantaytambo’s archaeological site, a living Inca city. The journey continues with a visit to Machu Picchu, one of the world’s seven wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site. CUSCO

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and City Tour

Morning: Upon arrival at Cusco International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. You’ll have time to rest and acclimate to the altitude of the city.

Afternoon: In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a City Tour of Cusco, where you’ll visit Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), and the Sacsayhuamán archaeological complex. This tour will give you a deep understanding of the city’s history and its impressive Inca ruins.

Day 2: Chinchero, Ollantaytambo and Overnight in the Sacred Valley

Morning: The day starts with a visit to Chinchero, a charming town known for its traditional textiles. Then, you’ll explore the archaeological site of Moray, famous for its circular terraces that the Incas used for agricultural experiments.

Afternoon: Next, you’ll head to Ollantaytambo, an impressive Inca archaeological site that is still a functioning village. Here, you’ll visit the famous Inca fortress. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Sacred Valley, where you’ll overnight, surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes.

MACHU PICCHU

Day 3: Machu Picchu and Return to Cusco

Morning: From the Sacred Valley, you’ll take a train to Aguas Calientes, then a bus up to Machu Picchu, one of the wonders of the world. You’ll explore the Inca citadel, visiting its stunning structures like the Temple of the Sun and the Intihuatana (solar clock).

Afternoon: After your visit to Machu Picchu, you’ll return to Cusco by train, enjoying the panoramic views of the Andean landscape during the journey. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 4: Moray and Salt Mines

Morning: Your day will start with a visit to Moray, an incredible archaeological site with circular terraces that were used for agricultural experiments during the Inca Empire.

Afternoon: Then, you’ll head to the Salt Mines of Maras, where you’ll witness the ancient method of salt extraction that is still in use today. Afterward, you’ll return to your accommodation in Cusco.

Day 5: Humantay Mountain and/or Rainbow Mountain

Morning: This day will be dedicated to one of the most stunning experiences in the Andes: hiking to Humantay Mountain or Rainbow Mountain. Both destinations are renowned for their spectacular landscapes, and you’ll enjoy a hike that takes you to impressive altitudes, offering views of turquoise lakes and towering peaks.

Afternoon: After a day full of adventure, you’ll return to Cusco to rest.

CUSCO

Day 6: Farewell and Transfer to the Airport

Morning: After a delicious breakfast, you’ll have some free time to shop for souvenirs or take a final stroll through Cusco.

Transfer: Finally, you’ll be transferred to Cusco Airport for your return flight to Lima or your next destination.
